At first, hearing that downloads are declining sounds like a negative trend, but the idea is actually the opposite. I’ve noticed in my own case that I don’t download random games anymore like I used to. A few years ago I’d try something new every week, but now I just stick to 2–3 games I actually enjoy and keep playing them. It made me wonder if fewer downloads just mean people are becoming more focused and selective instead of constantly searching.

I don’t really play mobile games much, but this actually sounds like a normal pattern. At first people try everything when something is new, then over time they settle on what they like and stop experimenting so much. It doesn’t really mean decline — more like the market is stabilizing and becoming more mature.
